Claxton Farm - Assisting Regina Holder

On August 10th, I had the privilege of working with Regina Holder again as a second shooter for Molly and Michael's wedding held at Claxton Farm in Weaverville, NC. The wedding was beautiful and the send off was a spectacular event with a helicopter picking up the bride and groom to fly them off into the sunset. Having my own private pilots license and being an avid student of aviation, I almost forgot to snap the images upon seeing the helicopter coming in for a landing. Evidently the Groom and his groomsmen are longstanding friends and each tries to outmaneuver the next one when it comes to their weddings. There's only one lone single man left and it's going to be tough for him to top this one! I wish him luck!

Working with Regina is such fun and she's keeping me on the run! I truly appreciate her letting me tag along for the ride.

It's Been A While!

It's been a while since I've been out here posting. Like everyone else I'm going to use the excuse of being busy with everything life has to dish out to us. The winter, spring and summer has been full of engagements, weddings, and family reunions just to mention a few things.

This spring and summer, I've been helping out a fellow photographer and friend, Regina Holder. I've had a great time working with her as she's always a positive person and has a smile ready for anyone she meets. She's been a tremendous influence and great friend. I truly appreciate everything that she's done for me and look forward to working together in the future.

Kellie & Chris

This May I had the opportunity of working with Kellie and Chris Sorrells. They had a beautiful wedding and reception at Lake Junaluska. This had to be one of the most fun weddings that I have had the privilege of photographing. Kellie kept everyone in stitches most of the time with her continuous jokes and smiles. I thought it would take us forever to get the family portraits finished because just a look from her and she had someone doubling over with laughter. And the fun continued into the reception. As you can see from the final photo, Chris had to finally carry her away!!

Good luck Kellie and Chris and we hope you have a wonderful future together!

Hilary & Jeremiah

In May, we had the pleasure of working with a bride and her navy man! Hilary and Jeremiah walked down the aisle (or sidewalk) at the Richmond Hill Inn. The setting was beautiful and for a while we thought that it might rain, but thankfully, the weather held. The afternoon started with a tea being held in the Richmond Hill Inn. This occupied the guests while the bride put on the finishing touches. Then the party moved down to the gardens where the ceremony was held.
Hilary and Jeremiah are very attached to their family pets and included them in the festivities. Everyone was made to feel a part of the family. Afterwards, the reception carried on into the wee hours of the night until the bride and groom could slip away.

The couple had a Hawaiian theme with the bouquets being shipped from Hawaii and made from the hawaiian flower plumeria and leis for family members. Needless to say, I felt like I was back on the islands again. It was absolutely spectacular. We wish them lots of happiness and a wonderful future together.

Helping Friends...

Helping friends in need should always be a priority as we go through life. Today I got an opportunity to help a new friend, and to watch a wonderful wedding photojournalist, Regina Holder. Regina needed a second photographer to assist her on the wedding of Monica & Norman Watkins. I was deeply honored to help Regina, a very accomplished photographer who is always helping other photographers when they need assitance. It was very excitig watching Regina photograph this weeding as it unfolded.

Thanks Regina, for allowing me to work with you!

Ambar & Corey Sexton

Ambar & Corey's wedding was just like the fairly tale that we've all read. Where the handsome prince searches for his beautiful princess throughout the land. On July 7, 2007, the princess & prince (Ambar & Corey) were united as husband and wife, and began a new chapter in their amazing relationship.

The wedding ceremony was awesome at the First Baptist Church in Asheville, and then the "party" got started at the Holiday Inn Airport banquet room. Here's a few photos of that great day!

Ambar & Corey we enjoyed your wedding so much! Thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day!

Ambar & Corey engagement...

It seems like last week when I met Ambar & Corey for the first time. Just over a month fom now they will be tying the knot of matrimony. We had talked about getting some engagement photos taken months ago, however it just seemed like our schedules would never allow us to get together. Finally, the planets, moon, stars, and pure determination to shoot their engagemnets photos paid off. Corey & Ambar had a wonderful time just being together and thinking about their upcoming wedding in July.

I've come to know this amazing couple quite well since we met several months back. These two beautiful people have overcome some serious obstacles in thier lives, and there very fortunate to be here today. When you see them together you know instantly that they were meant to be together, and I'm sure they will always make certain the other knows everyday how much they are loved!
