Krystyn & Joe - The Reception

After the ceremony, the party continued at the reception held at Copper Crest in Hendersonville, North Carolina. It's a wonderful, old house that has been converted into a lovely Bed & Breakfast. The couple's first dance was one of many and you could tell how happy they are just from the look on their faces.

Everyone had such a great time at the reception. The entire day was filled with well
wishes and laughter with family and friends.

And this is as far as we're going with the photos folks! Let's give the happy couple a little privacy! We wish Krystyn and Joe all the happiness that life bestows upon them.

Krystyn - Bridal Shoot

I was very privileged to be asked to shoot the wedding of Krystyn and Joe. The wedding is now over, so it's safe for me to post Krystyn's beautiful bridal portraits without the fear of Joe sneaking a peek. The wedding was spectacular and I can't wait to dig in and start going through the photos. But, until that time, here are just a few photos that I thought I would share. Okay...and let me be the first to say it! Wow!!

We started out at the Basilica of St. Lawrence located in downtown Asheville. The church is beautiful on the inside and Krystyn looked like an angel. We moved on to the Grove Arcade, not far from the church, and then to the Botanical Gardens located at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Labor Day

We continued our own celebration of Labor Day today by visiting the Biltmore Estate. They have an awesome display of fall colors on the South Terrace, which they have aptly named, The Flower Carpet. If you've never been, now is the time to visit. The colors were striking in their patchwork theme. Take a look at some of the photos that we snapped with our little point and shoot camera! It's hard to believe that just a couple of weeks ago, we were sitting on the same terrace enjoying a Beach Boys concert with our family!

First of Many!

This was a very special photo session for us! We are so lucky to have formed a special bond with the first couple who invited us to do their wedding photos. About 4 years ago, my wife formed a special friendship with a wonderful girl, Stephanie, who worked at a jewelry store in the mall. Of course, Stephanie kept me out of trouble during the holidays and for birthdays by having a handy list of items that she just knew my wife would love. Anyway, one day while looking through all the glitter, my wife mentioned the fact that I was getting into photography more seriously than I had been in the past, and wouldn't it be so neat if I were to do Stephanie's wedding photos! Well, it's all been history from there! Stephanie and Ryan married in October 2005 and we have maintained that friendship over the years through phone calls and e-mail.

So, this very special photo session includes many "firsts" for us. This is the "first" photo session of the "firstborn" child of the "first" couple who's "first" engagement and "first" wedding photos I shot as a photographer. We are very proud to call them our friends and want to wish them all the happiness in the future. We especially want to welcome little Jason Walker to the world! He's been blessed with a wonderful family!

More Photos of Jason Walker

We just had to add a couple more of the happy family and their cute little son Jason! What a lucky kid to have such caring parents! I wonder if he will grow up to be a big, strong marine like his daddy? Watch out girls, he's going to be a looker!

New Site Launched

It seems like change is the only constant in life. So, while Bludomain was having such a great sale on all their web templates, we joined the rush to purchase a new site. We've worked hard over the last couple of weeks to get the site launched and hope that everyone enjoys the new look. This site will give us a little more freedom to show off more of our brides and photos.

This new site is even more special since our splash page contains two of our favorite relatives! Cousin David and his beautiful wife Samantha got married in December 2007 and we were lucky to be there and take part in their joyful day. Like many other young couples today just starting out, we wish them the best in their future together.

Lake Lure - Assisting Regina Holder

On August 16th, I had the privilege again of helping out Regina Holder as a second photographer at the private wedding of Lauren and Spencer held in Lake Lure, NC. The couple, both song writer/singers from Nashville, TN came to get married at the home of a friend. Lauren is also the host of CMT's "Custom Built". The wedding was simple, yet elegant, releasing butterflies at the end of the ceremony. These two will surely continue to create beautiful music together!

Beach Boys at the Biltmore Estate

Every summer the Biltmore Estate holds outdoor concerts on the South Terrace of the estate. This year we were lucky enough to get tickets to the sold out Beach Boys concert. If it weren't for our niece Nicole we probably would have missed going. But, she is a die hard concert fan and made sure that we got our tickets as soon as they went on sale. The sunset was gorgeous that night, the concert was great, and the company was even better.
